Which instructions apply?

Standard Bank’s instructions require the recipient’s Standard Bank account number. Keep 051001, including its leading zero, in the branch/SORT field rather than combining it with the account number. The bank recommends a cheque or savings account for these incoming international payments. Read the source for the account and payment requirements.

Apply these codes only within the account/payment scope stated above. If your payment form requires a branch-specific code, ask the recipient to confirm it using the bank’s account details. A code alone does not confirm that an account can accept a payment.
